The average height of a woman is about 4-inches to the south of a man. So it only makes sense to have a bike that is a little shorter on size but just as kick-ass in attitude. The BAMF Half Nelson is an aluminum 26” MTB ready to get it done on the trail. From the no nonsense RST Capa suspension fork to the SRAM X.4 trigger shifters, X.4 rear derailleur and Bengal mechanical disc brakes this bike is ready to go. The Half Nelson starts with a light and responsive 6061 aluminum racing frame. The RST Capa suspension fork with 80mm of travel is a solid performer that keeps the front wheel tracking the ground. The SRAM X.4 Trigger shifters are paired with the SRAM X.4 rear derailleur and SRAM 3.0 front derailleur providing a precise shifting partnership. When the time comes to scrub a little big wheel speed the Bengal mechanical brakes will be at your middle finger (BAMF humor) tips. The BAMF MTB saddle adds a nice touch of comfort even for the hardest of riders out there can appreciate.  The alloy Suntour crank with the 42/32/22 chainring combination will have those big wheels turning.

The BAMF Frame

The BAMF Half Nelson’s foundation is a lightweight 6061 aluminum creation with replaceable derailleur hanger, disc tabs and 1-1/8” integrated headset and water bottle mounts. The BAMF 26” MTB geometry is straight forward and solid. With four sizes to choose from BAMF has you covered. The 6061 aluminum is strong where it needs to be and light too while being dependable. The frame has a 27.2 seat post diameter and a 68mm English threaded bottom bracket. The head tube is designed to accept IS-2 standard threadless 1-1/8^th bearings. This is the same frame found on the more expensive Full Nelson at a lower price. BAMF stands behind the aluminum frame with a lifetime limited warranty against manufacturing defects. If you case a jump off a loading dock…sorry, that’s on you.

The BAMF Fit

Sizing a BAMF MTB is no different, or more difficult, than any other style of bike. By reviewing the size chart you will see a measurement called the “Eff Top Tube” measurement, also known as the Effective Top Tube Measurement. This is what the top tube would measure if it was parallel to the ground. It is an imaginary line the runs from the center of the head tube to the center of the seat tube if the seat tube was extended like a traditional frame. The size chart also lists suggested heights for the different frame sizes. This is far more helpful in sizing a bike than standing over the top tube and pulling up on the handlebars (which tells you nothing about the fit of a bike). BAMF offers four sizes to accommodate riders large and small. It will be easy to find a fit for all of our customers. The +/- 7° stem can also be flipped and adjusted for a lower back-friendly position to a more streamline position in minutes. The lower top tube keeps the center of gravity low and the makes for an easy approach to getting on the bike. This BAMF bike was designed with the user’s needs and comfort as the #1 priority.
